About Me
- Name: JS
A revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery; it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another. — Mao Zedung, Report on an Investigation of the Peasant Movement in Hunan

i am dying. just dying.
What's really interesting is that you look exactly the same then as you do now.
You truly are in New York at the right time for a hetero male. Thank you Seth Cohen.

As for looking the same, I would NEVER wear brown shoes with a grey suit...what was I thinking?
After a recent trip to NYC, JTB and friend JBZ are all hung up on my body...they argue, inter alia, that I am perfectly proportioned to match today's in-style male. What they don't realize is how much work it takes to keep up my indie rock stick figure. Frankly, eating one meal a day and throwing up 3 others is starting to take its toll. Furthermore, the sad fact is that the anorexic teenage boys are always going to be skinnier, since they never knew any other form of maleness than one filled with bulimia-inducing body issues.
Last, I really do need to lose that final five pounds. Where did I put my thigh-master? Maybe if I cut myself I won't throw up.*
*this is sarcasm, The Revolution is Not a Dinner Party has a long standing policy** against body issues of all types and would like to expressly state that the management does indeed know that anorexia and bulimia are two separate diseases (and that self-mutilation is another can of worms entirely).
**While noting that all body issues are bad (can't we all just be naked?), The Revolution is Not a Dinner Party takes a particularly strong stand against male body issues amongst the youth, which the management sees as just another example of lowest common denominator social reasoning--instead of fixing womyn's body issues, we hoisted them upon men, threw up our hands, and said, "that's just the way people are…now do 500 crunches and go to jamba juice for a meal replacement shake"
